Hakushaku to Yosei anime review

Hakushaku to Yosei anime review
The story is set in 19th century England and centers on a "fairy doctor" named Lydia. Her life takes a 180-degrees turn when she meets a legendary blue knight count named Edgar and his crew. He hires her as an adviser during his quest to obtain a treasured sword that was supposed to be handed down to him by his family.

When I watched the first episode, i was hooked by how intense this anime was and that intensity only catapulted me through this series. If you love fairy stories and mythical lore and legends then this is definitely the show for you. The plot is based around the Blue Knight Earl’s successor, a fairy doctor, a man who lost his lineage, and an evil Prince. If you love romance than you will love this anime because the chemistry between Lydia and Edgar is sizzling hot and intense—your heart will be racing—though this is not a comedy there are funny parts to it. I really enjoyed this show and would definitely recommend watching it!

Art: 8/10 ~ this anime was done in shojo style, so the men are unrealistically good looking and the women are too cute for their own good. still, the background is very picturesque and the style is well done.

Music: 8/10 ~ the music did a good job of created the necessary mood, but sometimes i felt like the sounds or music they used didn’t quite fit. still, the effect reached its goal so…

Plot: 9/10 ~ the plot was very unique and interesting, and it kept me hooked till the end.

Characters: 9/10 ~ i have to say that these characters kept me on my toes throughout the anime. they bewildered and surprised me in both good and bad ways.

Voices: 8/10 ~ the voice cast was well matched according to their parts.

Ending: 8/10 ~ the ending is really good and almost satisfying. its happy so don’t be scared, it’s just that i was hoping for something to happen, that didn’t. you’ll understand when you watch. I think that they should do another season because that’d be awesome, but since it’s been 2 years the possibility is low, and furthermore, there’s really no need for a second season if you use a little imagination…so enjoy the show… ^_^
